Series 3 New "ticking" noise upon acceleration (in gear only)

I’ve had a look through the suggested similar posts and googled, but can’t see anything which matches - if there is a post, please just point me in its direction.

I picked up my Series 3 yesterday having had new master and slave clutch cylinders fitted and she has a “new” noise…

Upon acceleration, and in gear (revving the engine without it being in gear doesn't have the noise and no noise when at idle), I have a constant ticking sound which sounds like when a child puts a playing card in his bike spokes.

Any ideas as to what it could be, please? Maybe related to works done near the new clutch bits? Knocked something maybe? It seems strange it went with nothing and came back with that.

Is it in time with engine revs? Could be pre ignition, or 'pinking'

We could do all sorts of guessing, but it would help to know whether they moved the engine or the gearboxes.

Either way though, best bet is to take it back and let them sort it.

Anything catching on prop as you driving , does it increase with revs or speed
