Gentlemen,
I seek advice again please. I would like to change the sump gasket on my Thor engined 2002 P38A. I checked the workshop manual and it says to jack up the body to increase the clearance between the front axle and the engine so you can manouvre the sump over the axle, but other resources say don't jack the vehicle under the body.
Is there any reason why I can't put the air suspension on it's highest setting and just either open the boot or disconnect the battery?
I'd like to know how some of you have done it please.

Regards,

Simon

Thanks Henry, should I have enough room if I put EAS on extended and just put jack stands under the chassis then?

You should be fine, but there is nothing better than having loads of space! ;)

Also to help with refitting the sump I hold the gasket it in place with some small zipties to stop the gasket moving.

After a few bolts are in, cut the ties and refit the rest of the bolts. ;)
