Thanks for the offer but im based in Lancashire.....I may have to bite the bullet and buy a scanner......what sort of outputs can hawkeye activate? Can it actuate the abs module for a power bleed, and each brake in turn?

No I don't think so and to be honest I've not played with it much, but you could check on the hawkeye web site.

Just a thought... have you checked your battery or alternator for good volts feed?

I used to temporarily clear symptoms similar to yours by ignition OFF and then ON again.
