I have recently got a 56 plate fl1, a 5dr adventurer station wagon td4 facelift version.

I would like to get some side steps probably the black tubular type for it but which type of fitting options are the easiest/best to fit.

I have seen quite a few on eBay and there seems to be various types hanging bolts, bars that have two fixings etc among others.

Some of the listings show fitting instructions but I'm wary as the photographs shown don't match the underside of my fl1.

Sorry for the long post that might be answered easily but I would like a more experienced view on what's available.

Thanks for getting to the end of this post.

Check out the ones on my vehicle. (Link to my vehicle in signature)

They are Bearmach Rock Sliders and cost about £220 from Island 4x4.

I may be selling my LR steps, the tear drop shaped ones that taper out at the back. Got some sliders on the way :)

There's tape covering the hanging holes I didn't think mi e would fit at first if you feel you can feel it go softer where the tape is..

I'm guessing the tape is a standard thing?

Yes its at the back too where the towbar mounts are, have to take it off to fit a towbar.

The two vertical tow bar threads actually have nylon inserts, just stops the holes getting full of crap
