squeeky brakes

hi all having just done all the brakes on the 2a and got them working ok ish they squeel like hell when i use them dosent look or sound good when pulling up any where .dose it take time for them to bed in .cant be doing with that noise all the time cheers

by leading edge do you mean top and bottem . i just roughd em up with 80 grit . but could take em off again .getting a dab hand at this cheers

that's what i did with my 90 drums just filled at an angle no more than say 5mm and found replacing the springs helped,also gave up on cheapy cheap shoes and got some mintex ones and there great now.

sand em again if they've got any glaze and wear a mask cos there is plenty of asbestos in shoes or there used to be and if you aint already, copper grease anywhere the shoe contacts the back plate better safe than sorry.
