spot lights control box

Hi everyone,
can anybody tell me if there is a way of bypassing the little control box which is beside the fuse box in the engine compartment.Its part of the circuit for the front spot lamps,the problem is my spots dont work,ive tested the circuit back from the spots and itsfine upto this point, and also after this box to the switch.What exactly does this little pain of a box do.Im sure with all of your vast knowledge someone can help,thanks for a great forum,

Hi, if it's a DII and the little box has a 10(?) connector multiplug on it then it will be shagged. I swapped the switch on the dsh for a push on/push off (rear wiper for memory) and wired in a normal relay. Cheap and it works just fine.

Dear NZ,thanks for the reply,yes it is a D2,if its not too much trouble how did you wire up the new relay and switch.i think i will try what you suggested
