South Africa to UK!

This is probably one of the more unusual requests but here goes.

While I tinker with land rovers, I also have a classic mini for which I am planning to build a fairly extreme 16v turbo engine. The project hinges on my obtaining a crankshaft or 2 from SA.

I require a crankshaft, preferably 2 bringing over which weigh 10kg each. To post them will cost in excess of £250 which starts making taking the project in the current direction not financially viable.

If your planning an overland trip and could whack a couple in the vehicle that would be ideal, as I will not be building the engine till 2014 anyway, but trying to get feelers out to obtain one.

Any help / potential leads of people flying back etc is appreciated. They are located in Pretoria.

I know a guy that regularly comes to and from South Africa as an engineer. Will find out today if he drives or has a decent amount of luggage allowance.

Thanks very much for asking. To be honest there is no reason why one couldn't come back in hand luggage. They really arn't heavy.

If he comes back regularly then it could be spread out over 2 trips.
