Just bought a Defender 200tdi engine sub 50,000 miles including turbo .
What would be a good price ? I'll tell you what I paid later :)
 
200 tdi defender engines are silly money, 500-900 ish, id say a sensible price inc aux would be 300ish about what a good 300tdi is worth
 
I paid £400. I have jet washed it today ready for new cam belt , then put it somewhere dry and safe.
 
The owner thought it had turbo run on and put a 200tdi discovery engine in only to find it did it again on the next steep hill ! The problem tuned out to be the accelerator peddle or cable was not springing back when fully depressed !
The 110 is still on the road and owend by a friend the engine was stored in the old owners Barn
