Not had much chance to take my series 3 off road since I bought it a couple of years back, really want to give it a go this year! So just wondering if any one could tell me about any greenlanes/off roading in and around Shropshire, or if I could tag along with someone that would be good to :)

Cheers

Lots of lanes, most in the south. There is a good meet at the Red barn pub the last thursday of the month. When you go in ask for Pete. I am only just up the road and lots of lanes just over the border in Wales.

Thanks for the info on the Red Barn meet, I'll try and get down there this month :) Also found out about a local club called the Muddy Millers who seem to get out a fair bit, might try and hook up with them as well.

Cheers

I use to be the Green Lane officer for the Muddy Millers!! I stoped doing it when they started to charge for laneing. If you want to go laneing let me know and you can join us.

you know your on the slippy slope when to many people start using "sensible" or "reliable" or even worse "dependable".

seem to remember an old red dwarf sketch about that.

Just as a bit of info on Shropshire lanes,
Out today on the Long Mynd west of Church Stretton the lane running from the boiling well to Medlicot has become very rough due to water eroding the track about 100 yards up from the Cottage( where the tarmac starts ) the stream has carved a nasty hole full of rocks
Also the shooting box to the Coates has become worn by water running down the wheel ruts and deepening them and as for the wet area half way along its like a canal
Sorry I have no photo's I was only going to the pub and left my camera at home:doh:
