Hi all,
I'm working an a 2001 1,8K4 and are experiencing some issues that might have a connection:
Error 1
5E13 CAN Engine Signal error (This is read on the ABS menu on the hawkeye)

Error 2
5DB0 Rear left Sensor (ABS) electrical fault
(I have replaced the ABS sensor 2 times, and now also wired another cable directly from the sensor to the ABS ECU. Still the same error)

Error 3
Sentral locking.
Only drivers door and tailgate locks / unlocks when the switch or FOB are engaged. I can hear a tiny click on the other 3 door locks but that's all.

The ABS system on my car is SRB000111 A0066.
I have ordered a SRB000110 A0066 to see if it may help...

The common link?
May there be a earth point that's messing with me?
And would there be a chance that any one on forum has a clue?
I dont....:boom:

shuttle valves inside ABS unit maybe faulty....the discovery ABS by-pass works on these....ive done it on mine (ps you still need to buy repair kit even if you by-pass)

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on Discovery...
Discovery ABS by-pass what is this?

And an update:
Graduated electrician in 1987...
I swapped the ABS connections on the rear end of the vehicle.
And guess what!
Now the RIGHT SENSOR has an electrical fault! (This is still the LEFT sensor but now connected to the RIGHT cable from the ABS ECU).
So noe we know for shure it's the left sensor that's "gone".
The Resistanse is still about 1150ohm, anyhow. There is something wrong.
Now I'm going to interchange the sensors (left to right) and see...

the disco bypass is great and i did it anyway

you take the shuttle valves out of the abs pump yes the abs pump does not need to be removed just undone so u can get underneath to the allen key bolts

look at the new valves cut the plug off, then drill a little hole in the plastic and then feed to 2wires to the valves

now join both wires to the valves and on the other end fit a ring connector to one of the wires now fit the abs pump bolts back down and now connect the ring pull wire to earth and the other wire needs to be joined to (i think) Red/black wire

thats the valve baypass

Ok, a little update.
I read on another forum covering Mini/BMW, I read that the 5DB0 was related to left rear wheel, and... miscalculating speed...
A-ha...
I removed the ABS sensor, and looked into the deep.
What did I see?
Well -as a good handcrafter, I used a lot of the white grease when I assembled the ABS sensor. To prevent the hellish work I had to go through to get the old one out.
well, some of the grease found it's way to the reluctor ring, and after some driving, enough dust found it's way into the mids and we had success...
I cleaned every single track, put it together and I still had the issue on the hawkeye. Didn't panic, on with the tyre and out on the road. Did a reset, and read codes and now it was gone!
I hope my bummer may be to the help for some one in the future.
BTW: The other errors with CAN bus and central locking are still present.
A guy on the Norwegian lrforum.com said that it could be the ABS Valve house.
"CAN 5E13 This is a high speed signal.
ABS Valves for rear brakes blocked.
May any one confirm this?

Last error won't let go!

5E13 CAN Engine Signal error (This is read on the ABS menu on the hawkeye/TB4)

Now I've replaced the complete ABS unit, and the error is still present.
This must come from somewhere else.
Does any one have an idea???

Does it start and drive ok?
Does the abs activate when you skid/brake on sand or lose surfaces?
