I found the explanation over the page on how the VCU works more help.

With little differences in speed the jelly stays liquid and the VCU doesn't do anything. When the front and rear shafts spinning speeds are a lot different it heats up and locks solid. So if you could get the jelly out it would never lock. Think that was Datatek's idea.

Of course, as Wammers pointed out, if you hit some mud and you're going to have fun!

Personally I still like the idea of a proper difflock.

See post #19. :);)

They're **** in proper mud. I've had to be pretty brutal once or twice to pull myself out. Never go anywhere without the winch now.

The good thing about having a working VCU is that if you have a rattly U/J you can remove that prop and still use the car in a limited fashion whilst you wait for parts. If the VCU is empty and you remove a prop there will be no drive. Which is basically what i was getting at a few posts ago, should maybe have explained it better.

If you maintain the car, there is no need to remove the front or rear prop.

:D

Are you getting arsey Keith? :D:D:D Don't you have the flight tracker app.? Good job I fly over the Bay of Biscay eh.:D:D:D Keep them all on their toes whilst Tony and I are away. Cannot wait to be back with my popcorn. Regards.:)
I'm quite close to the Bay Of Biscay, a ground to air jobby should reach you.
35C here again, too bloody hot to do anything, used to love it but I can't take it anymore. Cool in the house though, 3ft thick walls have their advantages.

Not showing that hot in Fuerte but the temp is taken at the airport and we are in the mountains where it's usually hotter. At least the house is built to keep cool, ceilings 4 1/2 mts to the apex and tinted double glazing. Haven't sunbathed for years, get enough of a tan pottering about the garden.:)

Going to get to pool out tomorrow before it gets too hot, haven't used it for 4 years as it's been too cold and wet. Nice big inflatable pool 6mtres long 16,000 litres of water:eek::D:D

Thanks mate , you have just reminded me of another job to be done, cleaning the pool. Unfortunately it's fixed in a hole in the ground.:)
