Hello

Does anyone know if any of Britpart, Rimmer or JLR will still stock the fuse box itself? It’s the small additional one under the bonnet that clips on to the main unit and just holds fuses for the heated screen. Mine has melted fuses in it due to corroded terminals and so it’s trash.

If I can’t, I suspect it’s go find a breaker who’s got one in with a heated screen and get it from there …

or is it a standard part across other JLR or manufacturer models?

All help welcomed.
Thank you

You can get aftermarket fuse boxes which will do what you need. However the HFS harness is available separately, as it's an add on to the standard factory harness.
Unfortunately I can't find the part number, but I can guarantee it'll be expensive.
Me I'd go with an aftermarket one.

I wonder if its documented in Rave - in the section that has the instructions for the options?

I know there's part numbers for fog lamp type options on the fitting instructions.

The heated screen is probably a factory option though and may not have an instruction sheet.

Hi
Where is this fuse box because my heated front screen has stopped working and there is no fuse in the fuse holder in the drivers foot well. I am guessing it must be the one you mention above.

The HFS fuse holder is next to the main engine bay fuse box. It's not uncommon for the fuse holder to melt, stopping the screen heaters from working.

You stand a good chance at getting one from a breakers as I've seen the HFS on quite alot of cars in yards over the years.
