Sarn Helen

Hi all,
Does anyone know if any part of Sarn Helen is open at this time of year?I know that the bottom end at Aberdullias is summer only,but was hoping the middle bit between Banwen and Brecon can be used.
Or does anyone know of any other Green laneing in South Wales that is worth a try?

aber to Banwen is now perm closed by NPTCC. banwen to brecon is on a RUPP and is therefore closed too. Brecon CC are slowely closing all the lanes in the region, and the GAP route has also fallen foul to this aswell. Your best bet is, as stated above, head further west, picking up strata, soar y mynydd a couple of lanes ouside rhyader and NW onto devils bridge, happy valley etc etc.

Im sure it wont be long now till those are closed down too... thats why im off to Morocco now to check out some viable non-closed routes

Cheers guys for the info- yes I know-bloody autofill put my Email as name and I can't find out how to change it!!!
Phoned Powys CC and they confirmed nearly all byways are now permenantely closed to motorised vehicles-mainly down to misuse,pity.
Will have to trek the Disco down to Strata,was hoping to find something a bit closer to home first.

We did all of Strata. It was same as it has been for a while A mess. But othat than the flowers where the girl died its just the same.

They might, but I think it will be more down to the amount of people driving off line!!
