Sacrilege, but bear with me.

Looks like I may have found my '72 2 door for the project.

Should be able to collect it some time in Jan. It'll then go into storage for a while while I collect all the parts needed and prepare everything.

I think the initial aim will be to fit the rollcage and redo the interior and then respray in time for next winter and then the Zulu conversion the following summer.

With all of these cars seemingly being re-sparyed Lincoln Green, as much as I like that colour the car I have hopefully procured was originally Sahara Dust.

As such, the two colour schemes I'm toying with would be either Lincoln Green with tan carpets and choclate brown leather, or Sahara Dust with blood red leather and grey carpets. Hmmmmm.

I have a soft spot for red due to sitting in silver Jags with red leather as a kid.

Will put some picks up in a few weeks when I can find time to get the car.

The condition would appear to be absolutely mint, it has had an enormous amount of work done, is fully galvanised etc.

But it is not in its original state and has had a handful of more modern additions. This is great for me as the last thing I wanted to be doing was taking one that was in original concours condition and state and making the interior changes that I plan.

That is enough information for you to be able to find it on the web, afterall, I found yours within 5 minutes of you saying you got a 2nd one thrown in for free.

I found an old ad from earlier in the year which was a 72 with a donor vehicle included at the price you mentioned. I assumed it was yours as the timings fit.
