Hi all,
The rear wiper hasn't worked on the wife's Freelander 2 for about 12 months. So today I decided to take the door card off and have a look see. On inspection the plastic cap on the back of the motor was missing and the armature in the motor was sticking out about an inch from the housing.
Just had a look on ebay to see how much a new motor is and they are £100 plus for a new one, some even as high as £170. There's even someone trying to sell a used one for £70 plus £13 p&p
Is there somewhere else where I can get one from except expensive Ebay. There are car breakers near me but non have Land Rovers in. I may be out of touch but I would have thought one off a breakers should be £20-25 tops

£120 for a new wiper motor isn't much by modern standards. Don't forget that a £30K car when new, still has £30K repair costs, even if the car is no longer work £30K.
