Read windows are stuck down I know it's the window control unit behind the glove box bad solder joints but for now just want to close the rear windows is there a point that I can put a jumper in to get them closed?

Ok so had the ECU out and soldered anything that looked iffy and rear windows still don't work fuses are good Haynes doesn't mention a relay from march 94 onwards (97) so what else is left other than the ECU has died?

Drove to work tonight and rear windows started working again I didn't have time to put the ECU back into its casing sat on the floor with a tea towel wrapped round it unplugged it and put, back in the casing and all connected up and now they don't work again not sure what is going on at least the rear windows are closed so pulled the fuse for the rears to keep them shut will have another look this weekend.

Same with mine. They worked intermittently for a while. I just decided i didn't need them and just don't touch them now. My AC works so I never need to open them.

Mine were intermittent for a long while until I soldered the joints in the ecu as per the how to which I found on here somewhere, everything has been good ever since, probably five or six years since I did it and never failed again.
