Hey all,

The both the rear windows on my D2 have suddenly stopped working. Front windows work fine.

Fuse is fine - swapped anyway (12 & 13)
Relay is fine - swapped anyway (big yellow one)
Checked the cut off switch not active

Will check the fuse box for live at the fuse next.

Any other suggestions

Hi, did you try from the door switches too or just at the console? If you have power to the switches make sure that the cut-off switch is well connected

Yeah tried those no joy.

Plugged in nanocom to check the rears where still ON, turned ON anyway to be sure.

Tried windows, you can hear a crackle from the fuse box but no joy.

Front sunroof also doesnt work.

Strange thing is if I pull all the window fuses and relays the fronts still work?

Regulators work as I closed them "manually" by connecting a battery.

I guess ill have to pull the console apart to check the cut off switch is connected but being an ES its an annoying job.

You dont have to remove the whole console for a switch, only the cover, it's push fit, has some clips all around, they used to crack so release it around with a flat head screwdriver with care... i broke two clips when i removed mine . Check for power on the white/pink wires and if there is no power the fusebox is suspect, if there is power check the black wires for earth

Mines got a one piece fascia that gos over the gearshifters, so.bit more involved to remove!

Im strongly leaning toward a broken earth somewhere, as the fusebox buzzes/crackles sometimes but not everytime when you try to activate the switches.

Doesnt help that the previous owner has created a rats nest mess of wiring under there. Plugged multiple random things into the fusebox instead of making an isolated unit from the LR fuse box.
