Rear door seal

I see from searching the forum that a fair few have changed the rear door seal, i think i have all the trims i need and the new seal, from what i can see on line i should be removing a small amount of metal from the car before i put the new seal on, does anyone have any info on this as the techical note from land rover has a very small picture or will it be easy to work out when i strip it down.

all self explanatory

It was just were to remove the metal from as the picture online isn't the best, but i have yet to take the new seal out of the box, giving it a go the next time it's dry.
