Anyone any idea which order to install? (Not a pickup)

Does the seal go on the glass first then you cry when it comes back off? šŸ˜

Or does the seal go on the rear first then you fit the glass?

Yes I know to do the weather strip last. Just these ā€œall makesā€ seals šŸ¦ are a nightmare.

Thanks in advance. I gave up 30 mins in and made myself a brew then did the door seals.

Seal to glass first, tie in place with a thin strong string. While held in place [ extra hands needed] pull on tails of string to feed lips of seal into place. Never found this easy but having the seal warmed before starting helps.

basically just like doing a windscreen then?

Its quite easy to get the 1/4 glass and seals in (I found), plenty of soap and a plastic tool to tease the lip over the panel on the inside, with someone else holding the glass on the outside.
The lock strip goes on the inside (i've seen loads fitted the wrong way around) and I use one of these tools to fit that.
Window seal join shouldn't be on the bottom and the lock seal join should be on the opposite side.

the biggest problem I have is that I start on the long side..

just about to get back to where i started with the seal.. and because it's so stiff it refuses to stay where it is.. so then it just comes off the glass :(

Iā€™ll be doing this on mine when I grow a pair. If you you tube ā€˜doctors garage rear glassā€™ he has posted a short video of how he did his. Sorry, I donā€™t know how to add a link. He is a self proclaimed novice (heā€™s actually a cosmetic surgeon) but he has various useful videos and parts reviews. Iā€™m not suggesting his method is perfect necessarily but it might help?
