Hi guys. New to the site, have introduced myself in the appropriate section already, not just after free advice :) .

As I'm a bit of a noob to the LR fold, was wondering if anyone could offer me some help. I've got a Disco 300 TDI auto ( '96 ), which has a 2" or 3" lift (not totally sure, but seems higher than most 2"s I've seen) . It's running the standard props, with the rear donut setup. I've had problems with it ripping the rear donut due to the angle it's at, which I can't really do anything about. I've actually removed the lift for a bit as I couldn't afford to sort it over christmas, but I'm now in a position financially to be able to.

Is there any other system I can run without the donut? I've been told I could convert it to a 200TDI rear prop, which is twin UJ. But I wouldn't know which bits to use. Unfortunately I can't afford wide angle props :( , much as I would like them.

Sorry if this is a silly question!

Thanks in advance gents :)

You need a 200 Tdi rear prop and either the diff flange to suit or swap in a 24 spline diff from a post-95 (?) Defender. You might also be lucky to find a 24 spline diff under a 200 Tdi Discovery but that is limited to the 'change over' year from 200 to 300 Tdi inthe Discovery.
