program keyfob??

my mates just bought a freelander when he got it only one remote worked so he's changed the batteries in the second remote but it still wont unlock car is there a way of programming them in??? i know how to do the disco ones is it a similiar procedure??

Reet keep both fobs seperate, best to dissconect battery[remember radio code] after 12sec dissconect, reconnect, make sure all doors and windows shut, press fob once [3secs] then twice [three secs,deadlock] then unlock, do this three times, job done , if however it dunt work at all. . .then rear window up and down three times first, with 3 sec intervals,then when fob kicks in follow the door procedure. . . .oh un best oh luck. . .

wot if the fobs are different?
do they get set to car - or car to fob?

to fob. . .big mistake that er lot of earthlings make is to keep spare in pocket or int motor or same key ring[they cross talk un code go's out]. . .

he's only just got car i asked about fob whilst showing him the site. so he'll be registered soon although i'll probably have to do that for him as well. afterall we are talking about a guy who would struggle to make a jam sandwich, so anything slightly more technical gets put my way (making tea) i also made a point of saying it was his as i didn't want you lot thinking i'd got a freelander myself i prefer proper landys, although i'll have to manage with disco for now!!!
