right maybe im being paranoid about my cooling system but some one maybe able to throw some light on this. top coolant upto correct level check 2 days later and its dropped half an inch. check when hot and its at the correct level. once its dropped it doesn't drop any further. its driving me nuts anyone got any ideas?

if it keeps dropping or a recent change then thats the time to worry, if its stable it has probably reached its happy running level

Had similar situation, thought all was good until I noticed a drop on a plenum hose, changed both - all is well, keeps correct level

oo never checked there drium. now this is where I can be a bit green james I thought the level was the level didn't think it would decide for itself what water level it would like. mind you it is a range rover and they all seem to have minds of their own.

systems age,but its good you keep an eye on it far few do nowadays ,its worth running your hand across rad when systems hot to ensure rad is cooling all over, engine switched off obviously

think im obsessive james as I check the water every 2 or 3 days ive always said about these cars they shouldn't overheat or slip the liners if you keep on top of the cooling system like I said think I worry too much lol

If you know anyone with a static test rig sticking that on would show up small leaks. Or at least you would know there is one, finding them is the big problem.
