Bought my P38 two and a half years ago and had it converted to gas. It ran fantastically for 4 weeks, at which point the changeover from gas to petrol deteriorated to the point where I just have to wait for the car to warm up before we change to gas. It has had a new engine, due to porous liner, which we bought from RPI 
which I fitted myself . The battery was disconnected for about a week and when reconnected and engine first started, it again ran sweet as a nut and the changeover was spot on. Again after about 4 weeks, changeover deteriorated. Its had new 02 sensors, a radiator and new thermostat. Also, it has been to MXM 4X4 and had the Motronic engine management tested and all is well.
