AC not getting cold inside.

Compressor runs and the pipes cold
Fans not working but can be made to run

Pressure tested and re-gassed to spec to top up. No obvious leaks.

Don't know much about AC's

Any help or pointers, greatly appreciated!

But if the ac is working, ie the pipes are getting cold then what else can it be? If there was a blockage then it would over pressure and shut off?

The question is how cold is the cold pipe and how hot is the hot pipe, one should be very cold, the other very hot.
Right, colder than you think, and hotter than you think
...dumb question, are your fans working properly? Is hevac reading cabin temp corectly/ is there a snowflake displayed?

Fans working, no errors, no apparent leaks, AC gets cold. Had AC tested and they found 10deg at vents..while I think it's not sufficiently cold, they seem to think it's normal for these contraptions.

Since then have sometimes been getting a loud crackling noise from the RHS blower motor. Removed, inspected, cleaned and put back as all seemed well as motor etc is very smooth. The noise is more like some hard plasticky interference is going on at that side.

Any ideas what it could be?

Additionally: whats a good source for a new ribbon cable these days for the hevac? Few pixels are out and may as well fix the next time I remove it.

Sounds to me like it's low on gas, mine has the same problem and a pressure check shows it's well down.

Do the 'top up shops' still add flourescent dye as standard, or does this have to be requested? Made identifying my (main?) leak fairly easy

I got it filled (think 1000/1200? - whatever the spec was) with the dye added to check for leaks etc. Then tested so expect
there are no leaks. Will keep and eye on it.

@stemac33 The ribbon fix still out of stock.

Now to track down what the loud crackling noise from the RHS blower motor area is. Its not the motor or anything inside as its all been thoroughly cleaned out (only found 1 dried leaf in there so clean to start with).
