I have engine fault came up on my dash I have tried plugging in the OBD2 reader but my OBD port is not working has anyone one else had this issue the car is a 2010 TD4.E
 
The car is OBD2 compliant, so any OBD2 reader should be able to pull basic engine codes. Unfortunately an LR specific code reader is needed to pull the full codes, which give precise information on that actual issue, rather than a general issue code.
 
You need to turn the ignition electrics on to read codes. Check none of the odbii connector pins are bent or have come out of the socket.
