Hi all

I'm looking at a way of carrying surfboards inside a defender hardtop and the best easy way I can see is to have them on there side sliding down the middle from back door to gear stick. Only problem is that bulk head. I know you can get a bar to replace this but I'm so un skilled at that, and concerned about damaging my new landy, want it to stay nice. The mud stuff removal kit looks neat and nice but not sure it's low enough as the boards would sit high probably obstructing my view out left window.
So questionis, is there a way round this, or even something out there to just allow the centr section of the bulk head removal neatly? Or woukd this waken then structure totally?!
Thanks for any help
Jack

Bought my mrs a peugeot partner (62 reg) for mumsy stuff and going on holiday. It has a very clever system of two bars that fit inside just below the roofline. Like roof bars but inside. Does that make sense? Not sure you would get the length in a 90 but it's an idea.

Any chance of a picture ?

The shelf / bar idea I've had and am keen on but wouldn't know how to fit this? as its new I don't want to ruin the look of it, same with the replacement bar- that looks ideal but how secure are these? does it affect insurance/ warranty etc and how neat does it look?

Thanks guys
