new clutch problem

hello me again just replaced the clutch on my td5 disco because it was sliping all went well untill the test drive and the new clutch is draging to the point i can not get it in gear when the engine is running if you put it in gear and start the engine then you can drive it. today i took the clutch out and compared it with old and was ok i then put the old pressure plate back in and still have the same problem
am i missing some thing here

it might sound stupid, do u have the clutch plate in the right way
