I'm sure this has been covered before but thought it would be good to check peoples thoughts. I have purchased a brake servo to fit into the clutch line to help my arthritic knee. I'm wondering what the small reservoir type thing in the fluid

line going to the clutch slave cylinder is and weather to remove it or include in the new pipe. I run. Thanks for your help.

I have a similar thing on my TD5, clutch is as light as a feather, or even lighter maybe?
Down side being the bite point, strangely, is difficult to judge, making hill starts awkward.

Well I fitted the servo today and the results are so much better than the heavy clutch previous. Before I had to push the pedal a long way but now it's a few inches and so light. I agree that the feed back /bite is a bit vague but not an issue. It is going to save the wear on my knee cap for sure.
Bleeding the system was a bit of an issue as the servo is higher than the reservoir so used a compressor and a rubber bung in the reservoir to push the fluid down the pipes with the bleed nipple open, making up pipes took some time, I have ordered a "t" piece for the vacuum hose, but it works well so far , i bodged a part temporarily . The position of the servo is not as recommended, but angled it the same as my old rover p5b.

I did not include the "damper thingy" just made up new pipes to bypass it. Not much to see but you get the jist?
