n/s/f door not locking unlocking properly

Hello, i've had a new ignition barrel fitted and i assume programmed by Land Rover dealer. Since then the nearside front door lock is playing up. press remote and door does not unlock. use dashboard switch door does not unlock. Start driving and door does not lock with others. Press remote or use key when leaving and door locks. One forum mentions lock actuator problem and possible motor failure. Does motor lock and unlock or could there be another fault. Thank you

definitely a new latch assy is needed

What Sierra said. I've just done the o/s front and rear with same problem. It may be a false economy but I fitted used ones, I got for £20 each. New on ebay etc are around £85 each.

Just a thought before sourcing new / second hand. Just sat in car and pulled up knob on door top and its sucked back down straight away. Am i still looking at replacing. Thanks again.

yes as long as it opens with the handle and you hear some activity when you unlock with fob... a new one would last 10 years or so and it's not very easy to replace... your choice
