Well, I am soon to be moving across to the Czech Republic, and have thought long and hard about whether to take my beloved Disco with me.
However, after researching some Czech websites, LR dealers are few and far between in the CR, and I hear that foriegn cars are targets for thieves, etc over there.
So, I'd like to know your opinions as to what the car would be worth? I'm going to have to sell it in about a months time.
It is a 5-door, 7 seat '94 300 tdi automatic, in really good condition, with 106,000 genuine miles (all MoT's from 1997), Air conditioning (full working order), PAS, no leaks from ANY window seals, Sony CD face of stereo (in keeping with the interior - fully fitted to all speakers including subwoofer), power aerial, interior in superb condition, EGR removed, comes with roof rack, full hands free bluetooth car kit (no need to take your phone out of your pocket!), xenon headlamps (superb brightness), white indicator lens (side and front), NO RUST OR DENTS, Discovery 'Comfort kit' fitted, rear roller parcel shelf, electric windows/mirrors (full working order), remote central locking (full working order), the diff is also in FWO, rear ladder, rear light guards, full electrical towpack (although it hasn't been used since I've had it), full factory fitted alarm/immobiliser, 235/70 tyres (they look better than the thinner ones!) with good wear remaining (on alloys, also in superb condition), automatic rearview mirror, standard fit plastic mouldings on the wheel arches, side steps, rear step, headlamp washers, factory fitted tinted windows, window blinds, 2 sets of keys with original fobs,
In addition, it has a private number plate H15 TRK (his truck!) worth well over 500 GBP.
It also has the following;
Dash repair kit (professionally fitted by independent LR specialist).
Head gasket, alternator, drive belt, tensioner, down pipe replaced (again by LR specialist) in the last 4 months.
Full dealer service history up to 80,000.
Privately serviced since 80,000 (with receipts - engin/gearbox oil changed recently).
The car runs like a dream, is nice and nippy, the auto box is as smooth as silk, ALL the electrics work as they should with no faults. I have never used it off road, and the condition of the car reflects that! I have really looked after it, as you can see if you look through my previous posts. All the dash LED's work, it has red roof LED's (to complement the lighting from the stereo ),
The only bad points are there is a small crack in the windscreen just behind the autodip rear view mirror, but you can't see it from the drivers side and it won't fail the MoT (happened when I fitted the new rear view mirror!). The drinks holder spring has broken, so you have to manually push the drinks holder tray in and out.
I REALLY want a left hand drive Disco, but guess there aren't many in the UK!
