Hi all, when driving my 07 freelander 2 TD4 there is a slight loss of power, a second or two then it corrects itself then it's fine for another mile or so then does it again, very annoying. Air filter and fuel filter recently changed during major service, was happening before service also, Land Rover could not find problem, any ideas...?:(

might have a little more luck with this on:

Freel2.com - Index

a whole forum dedicated to the freelander 2, have had some good advice from there.

However, they are a little less boisterous and resilient than on here, they don't take kindly to being told straight and blunt.

When you say "a second or two", could it be described as a complete loss of power, but only for 1/2 a second, or even less; not long enough to be a problem, but irritating enough to be an aggravation?

I have had three, otherwise very good, FL2's, but my second developed a very similar problem. Being a 2012 car, it was back to Land Rover on several occassions and they couldn't work out what it was, until LR finally said (I'm paraphrasing here) "yes, we are aware of this and there is no solution, but we're working on it as there quite a few affected".

I traded mine for another, so I don't know if they've come up with an answer yet.

For similar problems, others have found that replacement of a duff crank sensor have provided an answer.

Sorry, been away, just got the bad news from garage, it's a split boost pipe and I've been quoted over £250 to replace, sounds a bit expensive to me?
