Hello everyone. I'm new here, so forgive me if I'm doing something wrong.

My old (2008, with 270.000 km) Freelander TD4, which I've owned for 7 years now, has developed a nasty habit. While driving it sometimes gives me an unpleasant jolt, as if the engine has seized/stalled. This usually lasts less than a second, and when it happens, I immediately press the clutch and it goes away. It can happen at any speed, even on the motorway. First it happened almost two years ago, and I thought it may have been due to air entering the fuel lines (not much driving during Covid, and sometimes driving with the tank low on fuel). At the garage they couldn't find anything, and the car passed the MOT after that. In the meantime I bought another car so I've been driving the old FL less and less, usually once or twice per week to work (20-ish miles there and back). It is a great car but I don't need it anymore, so I'd want to sell it, but I haven't put it on the market yet because I wouldn't want someone else have this potentially dangerous issue.

Any ideas?
