loss of gears .no noise or warning

Hi my disco 1 200tdi has lost all its gears gear stick is over to.the right .I parked up picked my kids up restarted pulled away no gears ????? The gear box is solid had to drive 4. Miles in first not good ..any ideas please gents ...

You may have knocked the the dif lock into neutral happend to me before thaught the worce started to rip it out then went hold on a min when it was just in neutral was a bit red faced by that lol.

if gear stick is floppy then i would look at bias plate and socket in yoke for bottom of gear lever,both require consol removing and rubber gaiter to get at gear box top,if lever feels jammed it could be selector shaft pin has come out between the selectors can sometimes be got back in but often means gear box stripping

Or Mabey the clutch has failed

Clutch is fine gear stick seems under tension to spring to the right .just wot I need this my daily aswell ....

remove consol and gaiter you need too look at gear lever housing ,tin cover will come off if you bend tunnel a little

Wot am I looking for ????

theres 2 springs sit euther side of stick under tin cover with a rectangular piece of steel that holds them in the right place may have broken ,
