lock problems

Hi guys, my doors are playing up!

When I lock the doors with the drivers door all the doors lock Other than passenger front and sometimes there is a lot of resistance although the all unlock with no problems at all.

Next problem is you have to pull the exterior drivers door handle around ten times before it opens

And finally the rear door only opens with the key in it which is the circular spring from what I can gather.


I've ordered springs mtc 9505 thinking they were correct but now they have arrived thete not the same as the ones in all the walk throughs. Are they any help to any of my above problems? Cheers all

On the door that takes ten attempts to open, try lifting the lever then give the door a quick push inward.

I've shown that trick to a couple folks who said their door hadn't worked for a year or two and they both popped right open.

Check both actuators are working fully in both the problem doors and a bit of spray lube over the operating mech/rods and pivots for a permanent fix.
A symptom of a failed spring is that the internal door top pin drops slightly on unlocking so relocking the door, so needing to be pulled up while pulling the internal or external handle.

Had same problems with my doors, new set of springs solve the problems,
Back doors are easy, front doors how ever are a lot more involved
Full strip down window out, window frame remove, so I would try lubeing them
Up first if I were you.

ive just cured my front passenger door by taking the door card off then poping the bar out the exterior handle that links to the latch then screwing it 3 turns (can't remember which way sorry) then putting it all back together.
to work out which way to adjust it just operate the handle while looking at what everything is doing.
the only thing i need to cure now is the lock pin not popping all the way unlocked via the fob as it works by the key so ill probably be back in there again today
