Hi all! Just bought my first Land Rover- a 1997 90 300Tdi and I think it is lovely! I have wanted one for ten years or more but never had the courage / money / excuses / reasons to actually get one. I will be using it as a daily runner and my work takes me into the woods and across the fields so I was never after a shiny, undented machine - just one that is reliable! I am in the process of learning to drive again - I am used to a comfortable, quiet and speedy vehicle - I now have a noisy brute with a hand brake in a very unusual place which requires a good couple of seconds extra thought for driving around town. That said I am totally hooked and would not go back to the dark side of boring motoring again.

I apologise in advance for the stupid / ignorant questions that I am sure I will be asking you all in the near future but I am staring from a very low knowledge base.
