Knocking from front end 51 plate freelander

I got a three door 51 plate TD4 and it's gained itself a knock at the front end not unlike a drop link knock but it's not the drop link!! I've also changed the shocker thinking it was that including the yellow bump stop, but the knock is still there 😡😡😡
Anyone got any ideas

Anti roll bar bushes? For the price of the drop links I'd change just to make sure.

Mine has a knock / rattle from the front end especially on rough surfaces. Anyhoo, had it MOT'd the other day and got an advisory for slight play in the NS track rod ball joint.

I've been doing a lot of work on the TD4 recently putting on new front discs and pads and checking the rear shoes, I also changed the aux belts. After doing this I got knocking sounds when going over uneven surfaces. It sounded as if I had knackered the shocks or every bush there was.
It seems that I had upset the top plastic shield in three of the wheel areas and they were hitting the body. If you put your hand under the wheel arch and push the top cover if you hear a noise then that is the fault. It took me three or four goes bending them until the noise went.
