Landrover freelander 1 td4 2005 model

Just had new wishbones and new drops links and also the housing with the bush in for the wishbones and all new bolts. But now when I'm driving I'm getting a sound ( check video) the sound is more when I'm driving straight and if I turn steering wheel left to right when driving can hear a knock. But when driving straight and it's intermittent it sounds like in video.

I went to a.car park and drove in a circle both left and right and no noise. Any one got any ideas. It didn't do it before the mechanic changed the parts but the nuts are all tight. Could he of disturbed something and now something else has gone? If anyone has any ideas so I know we're to look. The car drives all OK etc changed gear smoothly and engine is sweet. But just this noise now which wasn't there before the new wishbones and drop links etc

Excuse.my kids foot in the video lol 😆 that is down by passenger foot well we're he held the phone for me while I was driving and I think the noise is coming from there. If the car is stationary and you turn wheel left and right you can't heat any noise

If you get knocking with left and right hand steering movement, cup your hand around the track rod end ball joints just behind the front tyres and get someone to rock the steering while steering lock is off. Any play will be felt.

Did mechanic tighten bolts on wishbone with car on ground?? Otherwise could be straining bushes.

He tighten the wish bones while it was up on axle stand but put jack under it and then tightend bolt. The bolts are tight. And the drops links are new as well as they were done yesterday same as the wishbones

As above!

But if no change! Take it back to garage?

Listening to your video! Sounds like garage left a 'Spanner' somewhere???

Was a mobile mechanic that came out. I watched everything he did. No tools left.

Wishbones are new, wishbones bush housing is new. All bolts and nuts new. Drop links are new.

Never had this sound before. Does it in reverse or forward but doesn't do it if you drive either left or right in a circle. Only when driving straight and more if turn steering left or right quickly hear a knock. But when driving straight or over a bump you hear that clanking sound as in the link I attached above. Could it be something else? Maybe disturbed something?

I'm going to double check all the nuts on the wishbones etc are all tight tomorrow but I'd of thought with new wishbones bush housings and drop links it should be better but this sound is awful and I'm worried incase I damage something else. I thought it might of been cv joint but it doesn't make any sound when driving in a circle. I've checked wheel bolts there all tight.

Anyone got any ideas 💡

Drop links can be put vice versa. I had mine reversed (left on the right side) and mechanic put the new ones reversed also. And they can touch the shock on one side if the swing bar is sliding sideways (worn bushes).
Third time were put as they should, the swing bar bushes changed and no touch.

Replaced anti roll bar bushes and in the end it turned out on one of the drop links the mechanic hadn't tighten the nut up properly and the drop link was loose on anti roll bar. All sorted now and thanks for all advice. Now I've another problem with auxiliary belt slapping on idle. I've posted that in another post

Yep I double checked them all and all tight now. But if look at my other post I'm now having problems with the auxiliary belt. But all bolts etc are tight.
