Every time I reverse with full lock on I get a single knock when the car starts to move. It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the car. If I reverse in a straight line I don't hear the sound. It's not the sound of the slack in the drive train being taken up when reverse is selected but it happens as the car starts moving.

If I reverse with the wheels straight the knock doesn't happen until I turn the steering wheel about 1 turn.

There is only ever a single knock each time, but if you go forward again and then reverse again it will happen again. I've got someone to stand near the car to listen for the noise but it's hard to tell since the car is moving.

Just did the test and the V/C is good.

UJs were greased less than 10,000 miles ago, probably much less than that. I greased them again now anyway but I haven't drove it yet.

If they are knocking grease is not going to do a lot of good.
