kirton or frickley?

Planning on doing one of these at the end of the month but was just wondering which one you guys rate as being better?

Frickley is bigger. Kirton has more water. The sand/mud at Kirton can be a killer.

I personally wouldn't do Frickley again,not a bad site but too many people who just turn up with clapped out motors and don't care who or what they hit.Also the mud will eat your car as the site is based around old coal mine and slag heaps.

I haven't seen anyone rate frickly on here
Personally every time ive been its been a great day out.and big enough to keep out the way of folk
they allow any motor on ,mot or not.just coz it looks a scrapper dont mean the drivers a dick head,
if you go with another motor you can keep your self to your self
At this time of year its as muddy as hell

you need to try both places to decide for your self

Cheers for the input guys. I've been to frickley once before but it was some years ago and it did not go well. I guess we'll just see how we feel and go from there, both are around the same distance from me so I guess i'll just try both.

I've done both kirton and frickley, both good but kirton wins for me cause its so big, there's a few of us going on the 25th

it killed battery/starter motor bumped straight off. but my mate's was a different story
1, defender blown turbo THE BOMB HOLE "only been there 10mins"
he was sat there waiting for recovery most of the day

2, defender belt slipped a tooth would not go above 50 on way home just as he plulled into drive snapped bent 4 rods

3, defender "just bought the day before" drove around all day no problems what so ever lucky git.
we was cold wet out of pocket " a lot" covered in crap

Didn't even feel this happen, was following a mate in a fairly standard defender and he carried on, I stopped and couldn't work out why till I looked out the window. It was a new teflon swivel and it sheared the ball clean off destroying the cv. It actually happened twice as I spent the day bodging it back together with a scrap axle I found and then that snapped off.

Anyone going tomorrow to kirton

I'm split between the 2 tbh can't decide

There 14 of us going to kirton tomorrow less a few that will drop out

My disco is in the garage having sills welded and mot so I shall not. Make sure you get plenty of pics.

Went to frickley today, didn't get very far as it was THICK with mud. the BF goodrich couldn't cope

very hard going when wet

Went to to Kirton today for the first time, very good site and very big, lots to do and try, played all day and didn't even get time to stop for dinner.

Would definatly go again

Not been to Frinkley so can't say.
