Something ive never bothered to try out until i started having battery drain issues!

My key for the car does not unlock the door(s) when i physically insert it into the drivers side lock

any ideas what is causing this and maybe how i can sort it?

surely its the right key? the remote works and obviously starts the vehicle

nothing moves when i turn it plus there is barely any resistance! clueless!

If the key turns inside the door lock then id say its prolly the bar fell off the mech... take ya door card off and have a look, theres a plastic grommit that holds the bar in place... mine was knackered so i put it back in and covered it with a glue gun

As long as it takes to get the door card off really. But be careful if the rod has come out of the door handle part. These are only cast (something - bermabright - aluminium??) and do not bend i.e. they snap off very easily if handled roughly. If it does snap off, it's a new door handle assembly.
