has anyone used k seal?
does it work? how long does it last?
do you trust it?????

Bodge it and scraper:p fix it properly-but you have a k series don't you so a head gasket is almost a service item.:pop2:

More rubbish, if these things were so great then all the car magazines would rave about them & promote them like crazy........................wonder why they don't.

NOOOOOO

Never use K seal in a K series engine. You're asking for trouble.

Surely you ask for trouble the moment you buy summit with a K series engine in it?

I don't personally like putting any sealing compounds/liquids in a coolant system unless all other options are exhausted.

I've carried the same 2 tubes of barrs radiator/coolant sealant around in my truck and landy for nearly 5 years without using em on my own, customers, friends or families vehicles.

No don't do it.........it's the devils work, it and Radweld

only as a get home measure, will cause future problems due to narrow restrictive passages in the k-series head , rad and heater matrix.

The problem is that its not inteligent just to block up the holes.............so it just blocks everything.

better to get recovered on a low loader then K-seal on the k-series and V8

but k seal is the best of them all to put in a k series, purely because it doesn't block the internals, it only congeals when it mixes with air, hence it seals on the outside of the water jacket, used to be a regular inclusion in a v6 when the engine was rebuilt, i use it and guarantee it has never blocked the water ways in my k series.

This is the only correct answer so far. :)

K seal has been used in nuclear power plants, it was show to reduce leaks up to a point until repair could be carried out.

But I believe a bodge an run repair

Some people here seem to be getting confused with their products. K-seal is nothing like Radweld/conventional radiator leak stoppers.

Empty the bottle of K-seal into a larger container of water/anti-freeze coolant mix. Mix it well before pouring into engine coolant system. Use this method and it will NOT block your coolant system......just as long as you're not putting 20 bottles in! lol

P.S. Product is good for external leaks, but it's highly unlikely to fix a head gasket leak...sorry
