Jacking body away from chassis

To get the downpipe out easier, you can drop the FRONT AXLE relative to the CHASSIS. Jack up on the front axle, then place axle stands between the ground and chassis, and then let the front axle drop. If you need more clearance, then a bottle jack in the obvious place would create a little more.

Thanks for the tip. I did the job today and once I was under the vehicle it was actually fairly obvious what I needed to do. Took me about 90 minutes start to finish taking it relatively easy. Ben
