Jack height

The jack is missing from my Disco.
I have another but think its too tall to fit under the axel with a flat tyre.
So could some one measure the jack height with it down/ closed?
Also the top of the jack I have is flat would this matter?

Never knew they came with one.
I bought a small 4ton bottle jack from halfrauds.

Nice and small. And the lift pin has a screw thread so can wind it up, to the axel and then pump.

Tomorrow if not raining, LR must think there is a possibility of an issue with a flat top thats why theirs is curved, just look at discovery jacks on eBay.

Mine still has the bottle jack that was strapped under the bonnet from the factory.

I'll dig it out in the morning and measure the height if you still need it.

I think mine is still under the bonnet? Lol

the lr jack works with a flat tyre but not with missing wheel

If i counted all the missing parts on mine. I'd be buying this years model for 1k and still be counting.

Tank sat on anti-roll bar says it all for mine. (Worked it out it is taki g £100p/w in repairs before fuel and other stuff).

7.1/2" or 19cm plus slightly more to the top of the ears.

I had looked in the scrap yard but always missing?
I don't really want to use a cheap trolley jack as its were to store it but struggling to find the correct jack?

If you want the genuine item there's 1 or 2 on e-bay at the moment.

I have looked but I can buy a Trolley cheaper, why are they so expensive?

I also have a cheap supermarket trolly jack £25 IIRC, its ok for a car but doesn't have the hight to remove a wheel from the disco so I purchased a 3 ton jack with rocket lift, now I can lift off two wheels at once.

I've never needed to use the Jack supplied with my disco or the RR I once had, but then if I didn't carry one I'm bound to get a puncture.

Once the snow and rain here stops I will have a look and see what I can come up with, looks like a small trolley jack and a block of wood

Loads of discos being broken on eBay just message the seller

I will give it a go

Don't have to stay with discos, try RRCs, same Jack but kept in the boot opposite the spare wheel behind the trim material so can't be seen, therefore may be still there.

Well finally found one!
I got a hot tip about this little Land Rover breaker just outside Mold, North Wales.
Nice bloke good prices too,
got my Fog light switch, parcel shelf and a jack with a handle all for £30
