intermitent engine cut out

Hi Guys, My N reg Disco ES 300 TDI keeps cutting out inermitently whilst driving. All electrics shut down, as if ignition had been switched off. After 4 mins approx, it will re-start - any suggestions?

It could be dirty or lose battery terminals, or a crap earth check that if possibly run a new or clean up the old one mabey (failing that go to the short story book Idea loved that one made me spit out my tea)

There is an earth point just behind the battery with a 10 mm nut on it - worth a look .
My brother's Disco was cutting out at random for a while - and we finally discovered

that earth was loose ; tightened it up and no more problems .
