Hi I hope someone can help as its in the 30s in Spain! The other very hot and sunny day the climate control started playing up on our td5,used the car in the morning with air con and fan on no problem ,went back out later in the day and the fan would not work but I could hear the air con kick in,when I returned home I went back out to the car after a few hours and at night and it worked fine which it has done all week now,but once again a really hot day car in the sun and over 30 outside and once again no interia fan to blow the cool air out.all fuses appear to be ok ,any help please as the children are not happy we are melting lol cheers Andy

hope this may help ,just found out how to bring up the fault codes its showing F21 F22 which is left and right sunlight sensors .What are these and where are they is it a easy fix please.cheers andy

if you ran that diagnostic procedure where there was no sun this fault code would come up...anyway that sensor has nothing to do with the blower(presuming that's what you named interia fan)

the blower is managed through a power transistor, a power relay and the blower's relay, one of these elements is not working, if you want to DIY download a RAVE from here land rover rave technical system (Disc 1) then we'll speak cos you need the diagrams and connector views from there to understand what i'm speaking about...untill then check fuse F7 interior fusebox and set both sides temp to LO to see if the blower works then or not..if not the most obvious is that the blower relay is gone, C153 in the attachment, near it it's the power relay C901

those relays are identical and look like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item486793dff9 but you can find cheaper http://www.ebay.ie/itm/LAND-ROVER-D...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3ce11d2a3d make your own search after LR part number YWB101010 or denso 058700-4600 , IMO one of these is gone or it's some wiring/contact issue on theyr circuit

Thanks very much for the info and pictures of the fan and its relays that may be faulty, could you tell me where I would find the fan and relays is it inside the car under the dash board in the foot wells.
many thanks Andy

yes, it's beneath the glovebox...but that's why i told you to download a RAVE;) ... also did you try what i asked with selecting LO and checking F7? ... i want to help you but if you ignore my advice or dont answer i'll let you alone

Hi found the fan motor and I have ran another check now in the sun and no faults found!the f7 fuse is ok,just down loaded your workshop manual and it will not open .
Andy

install an acrobat reader on your pc cos that RAVE must work otherwise i can't help you cos you must make measurements.... you must find the power tranzistor too in that area, it has a big alloy cooler... that's the other command for the blower
