Freelander 1 imtermitant lose of power

freelander1 td4 hi all little help please last week my car started giving problems,engine light on dash board started to come on and off when driving,the one with abbreviation mark on.drove ok started ok took it to get diognotic check.code came up fuel pressure problem,mechanic played with fuel rail pressure plug and light went out,he cleared the error code,all was fine for a few days then yesterday started car all ok got about 5miles slowed down started to pull away but no power for around 500meters then all of a sudden power came back,this happened a few times then ok again,drove home about 10 miles no problems,plus no warning engine light on all fine again any ideas please

Merry xmas. FL1's are prone to a failure in the fue pressure sensor wiring harness, there is a repair harness available:

Although a good "autospark" (Auto Electrician) would identify the plug type and make up such a kit for a lot less than the price of a genuine landrover kit.

And with that item being located in Luthuania, it's going to arrive more quickly than something from the UK just because your country (Bulgaria) is much closer to Lithuania than we are in the UK.

and a merry xmas to mate, can this plug also give the problem of losing power on acceleration from time to time,like peddle is doing nothing then the next minute ok

Yes it can, basically the ecu thinks there is no fuel pressure for the injectors
And it will do that at the most random times when you need it

thanks jd for your help mate help, i was starting to think the cause of this prob. is lp fuel pump sounds like you have a good knowledge of these cars hope you can help me on other problems another day if have a little time .thanks again mate and have a pleasant evening
