Ideas for a roof rack??

I have a freelander 1 and it has no fixed roof bars,just a gutter hiding a couple of rusty bolts in.
I am assuming these are fixed points for a unque LR roof rack.
Where should i look to buy one of these????????

Best place I imagine is a breakers yard. Most Freelanders had them, so most being scrapped should have them and they're not the sort of thing to wear out.

Make sure you get the bolts and also the covers on the bars/rails that go over the bolts.

There are also rubber pads under the brackets - you'll need those - so there will be 4 of them.

IIRC there are 2 bolts on each bracket - so you'll need the 8 bolts.

The LR Rave Workshop Manual has a section for accessories - ie fitting instructions. I'd imagine the roof bars are covered in there so you can familiarise yourself with the bits and how to install them.

It's getting harder to find bars for a 3-door, as 5-door owners are cannibalising them to make extended bars, because 3-doors are cooler.
