Hi everyone

I am very excited about this that I wanted to share my little story with everyone.

I bought a 1995 4.6 HSE 2 years ago and since day one I had a "kick" when moving from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 that only appear at low RPM. Flat out the kick was nonexistent. The Gear change via the selector were not smooth and when moving from H to L there were each time an horrible noise and this despite having bought the car with only 78k KM.

The garage that I used tried many things. Changing Gear Box Oil and Transfer Box oil (Small improvement), Rebuild the GB (Small improvement in gear change and fixed the H to L problem and gear change via Selector), changed the XYZ Switch (no improvement but was showing ERROR), U Joints and other stuff below (No problems)... They check and ruled out the Transferbox too. Then after reading here and elsewhere we gave a last try by swapping the Gearbox ECU with a old one they had, and... Miracle no kick, actually I event don't feel the car changing gear at all! The only witness to this is the rev that showing me that indeed things are working like they should!

The Garage where I go was skeptical at first since it seems that Gearbox ECU rarely fail, and they never had such experience before, but I convinced them to give it a try and "voila" a real miracle!

Hope this post will help other people in the same situation.
