Good evening all,
Quick advice question if possible...I've recently bought a p38 as a dog carrier, lovely old thing, runs on LPG an petrol, bought cheaply to throw the dog in etc, also I live in the middle if nowhere so a handy thing too.
However.......when the old girl is cold the idle drops. When I put my foot down it stutters, then eventually off she goes. This continues until fully warm when it runs beautifully. Wondering if it may be something someone with more knowledge of these things could help with. It's like it on LPG and petrol till warm..
Lovely old thing though!!
Mike

Thanks for the replies chaps. I've had a look where the ecu sensor is and there is no lead on the end of it, is this because it's LPG? I've bought the eas software but is there a diagnostic disc I can buy and load up into the laptop ...

No diagnostic you can load onto your laptop except perhaps for the engine, if you want more, look at Nanocom.

The fuel trims might be out if the LPG system wasn't tuned to good petrol trims. If they don't match the long term fuel trims will suit the engine running on LPG but not petrol. I'd reset the fuel trims and run it on petrol for a week or two - if that cures it them the LPG system requires tweaking to suit the new correct petrol long term fuel trim. If it doesn't your MAF sensor might be knackered.
