Ok so it's begun already and I've only owned it a month!!
So wife went out parked on a hill while she waited for son to come out of mates and turned off the engine went to start it again and nothing. I've just drove down but got just hand tools got my allcoms the other day and the day it arrived one of my kids broke the screen on my laptop so can't use it. Any ideas lads I'm stuck here!
Battery voltage is good all lights etc working its as if its immobilised, so far I've disconnected battery for a few mins and I've had battery out of key to no avail. Only got the one key so can't try a spare, I'm guessing inhibitor switch on gearbox?. It's ****ing down here too :( not happy.
Cheers

No it's not turning over like I said its as if the immobiliser is on just nothing not even a click.
I'll borrow a laptop and go back in the morning oh and I'm in Manchester btw
Cheers

from my point of view , never buy a modern cars with only one key , and always check if have the main key ( first keys ),,,,,,,,,,,

Mine did exactly the same a few times

Turn the key... Nothing, no clicks, doesn't even turn over.

Think it was a sticky inhibitor switch but it hasn't done it since

Try putting ignition on, put foot on brake and move gear selector through all the gears a couple of times and finally leave in in neutral and not park

Then try starting

This usually fixed my problem when it happened

Good luck !

Only thing I can think of is a dicky inhibitor switch...

Have been known to get cruddy and wet!

The petrols mostly have this problem as the switch is mounted outside of the gearbox which is known to get wet / dirty

However in the diesel GM box, the switch is located within the gearbox submerged in oil, so no chance of water damage

Didn't realise you could work your magic on the L322 aswell Mozz - thought the L322 didn't have a key sync issue as they are coded by the Dealer and the 'mating' process is quite a long winded bugger!!

hi sainty your up early ????? **** the bed again then ?????:D:D:D:D
i will SELL you the secret then shall i ?????? ho ho ho ;);););)
regards MOZZ:crazy_driver:
